How We Rate Moving Companies
Last updated: May 2026

- Google Maps reviews — consumer ratings and review content analysis
- Consumer complaint databases — FMCSA, Florida AG, and state consumer protection agencies
- Mystery shopping — our team requests quotes from each mover annually to test responsiveness and quote accuracy
Review Update Schedule
We update mover scores and data quarterly. USDOT and insurance status is checked monthly. If a company's FMCSA status changes (revocation, new complaints), we update within 30 days.
What Disqualifies a Mover from Listing
- Inactive or revoked USDOT status
- Insurance lapse confirmed by FMCSA
- Active FMCSA enforcement action
- Florida AG consumer protection judgment in the past 3 years
- Pattern of hostage-load or bait-and-switch complaints (5+ FMCSA complaints in 12 months)
Sponsored vs. Editorial Content
